Ted is a retired executive and UBC metallurgical engineer. He has been a member of the Crown Isle men's club for seven years. Originally from B.C., Ted spent his working life in Ontario and Indonesia. Ted's wife, Mary (Theal) grew up in Courtenay and because he knew his way around the valley and with all it has to offer, it was the ideal place for Ted & Mary to retire. In the Crown Isle Men's club, Ted is known for his Jim Furyk-like backswing. Unfortunately the similarity in their swings ends at the top of the backswing.
