CROWN ISLE MEN'S CLUB
Policies - Winter Rules   Effective November 15th.
Hole-in-One Policy
  • A ball in play on the course through the green (rough or fairway) may be lifted and cleaned.  Before lifting, the player must mark the position of the ball.  Having lifted and cleaned the ball, it must be placed within one club length of the spot, and no nearer the hole.  Balls in the fairway must be replaced in the fairway, and likewise, balls in the rough must be replaced in the rough.
  • Balls lying in casual water in the fairway, rough or green may be moved within one club length of the nearest point of relief as per the RCGA rules.
  • If a player chooses to play a  ball lying in a staked hazard, the ball must be played as it lies.  It cannot be lifted, cleaned and placed.
  • A ball lying in a bunker may be lifted and that specific area of the bunker may be raked and the ball replaced in its original position.  If the bunker is largely under water, the ball may be lifted and placed in the bunker no closer to the hole without penalty.  If it is not possible to place the ball in the bunker no closer to the hole, it may be placed outside the bunker no closer to the hole with a penalty of one stroke.
  • Other than raking sand in bunkers, at no time may the player prepare the ground by building a sand or earth tee.
  • Once a ball has been cleaned and placed, it must be played as it lies.  It must not be re-lifted or bumped.
